You can help relieve and prevent social isolation and loneliness among older adults. Your generosity allows us to connect the young and old at free, weekly programs where they build mutually beneficial, joyful friendships.
Each year LBFE Boston connects Boston's college students with hundreds of older adults living in public and affordable housing. Generations enjoy social, digital literacy, and creative arts classes together and share life experiences and skills.

Yesterday, we welcomed over 80 friends, younger and older, partners, and longtime supporters to celebrate #GlobalIntergenerationalWeek at our Multigenerational Mixer the only way we know how: with our community.
We are so grateful to our village that recognizes the sheer impact intergenerational connections have on our lives.
We'd like to extend a special thank you to Fenway Community Center for hosting us, our friends at Boston Red Sox for volunteering their time, JG Charcuterie for the delicious charcuterie cups, and all of our friends who made last night so special.
If you haven’t had the chance, we encourage you to support our spring appeal to support more moments exactly like this. Support here: bit.ly/4axUixx
To all our friends, thank you.

GLOBAL INTERGENERATIONAL WEEK Day 3- Let’s Combat Loneliness and Social Isolation!
THIS is LBFE Boston's mission. Older adults, who participate in intergenerational programs experience a 20% reduction in loneliness. Intergenerational friendships, like the ones flourishing here at St. Botolph's House, are vital for older populations and must be prioritized, at a time of drastic demographic change.
