Holiday Celebrations

We mark Thanksgiving Day, Chanukah and Christmas Day. Volunteers deliver nutritious holiday meals and fresh flowers, and provide transportation for those elderly friends able to attend holiday celebrations.

On-Call Emergency Services

Volunteers and staff provide to vulnerable elders services (free of any charges) not provided by other organizations, while offering essential social support.

Pop-Up Pantry

LBFE’s Pop-Up Pantry allows volunteers to meet and spend time with the elders they are serving while empowering elders to “shop” independently without incurring any cost. In addition to meeting some really great people, our volunteers from corporations, schools and community groups see first-hand the challenges that prevent people from having access to healthy, culturally-appropriate groceries.
