Donor-advised fund

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a centralized charitable account. It allows charitably inclined individuals, families, and businesses to make tax-deductible charitable donations of cash, publicly-traded stock, and, in some cases, certain illiquid assets, to Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly.

Honorary Donations

Stock Gifts

Host an Event

Help spread the word about Little Brothers, and raise funds for isolated elders by organizing a fundraising event with family, friends or coworkers. Events such as a house party or a picnic, can raise funds to support programs and activities for our elders. Call us at 617-524-8882 or email us. Sponsorship Gifts

Your company or community group can sponsor Little Brothers’ activities and events. For example, your gift can sponsor a city site for 4 months or benefit a table of elders at a holiday party. Legacy Gifts

You can leave a legacy gift and make a difference to elders in your lifetime and far into the future.

Make a bequest to Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly, Boston Chapter.
The official bequest language for Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly Boston Chapter is: “I give to Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly, Boston Chapter, an Massachusetts non-profit organization, whose present address is 3305 Washington Street, Boston 02130, Massachusetts, and its successors forever, the sum of $_______ (or a percentage of the estate) (or the description of property or stock, etc.) to be used in such a manner as its Board of Directors determines.”

Designate Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly, Boston Chapter as a beneficiary on your life insurance policy, IRA or retirement plan, annuity, savings or checking account.
Donate your Savings Bonds directly to Little Brothers.

Food Drives and Gifts In-Kind

We provide elders in need with food of our food pantry and we rely on food drives to gather nonperishable items on our shopping list. If you’d like to organize a food drive with your church, school, condo association, or other group, please contact us at 617-524-8882 for our Food Drive Kit, which provides information on the foods that our elders want and need.

Donations of office supplies such as art supplies, stamps, games and birthday cards, gift bags, and other items help keep our overhead low, although limited storage space keeps our “wish list” short! If you would like to make a donation of new goods or provide free services, such as printing or design, please give us a call at 617-524-8882 or email us.
