Here is your monthly round up of some of the latest news from our office. There is always something going with us. We have opportunities to learn, engage, and support our programs this summer. Check out our calendar for more details and for online registrations!

Community:

Tech Tutoring in Roslindale LBFE has teamed up with Tech Goes Home to offer a 15 hour technology training to elders in Roslindale. Tech Goes Home strives to ensure that people are equipped with the tools, training, and access to support 21st century skill development.

Support:

LBFE Yard Sale Stop by our office on Saturday July 9th and check out our goods. Sales will benefit programs for Boston’s elders. Added bonus: From noon- 2PM, come listen to the sweet sounds of Phil Berman and the Flying Leap!

June 2016 Picnic

Picnic in the Park, June 2016

Picnics in the Park We will a picnic at Larz Anderson Park in Brookline this summer. Drivers are needed to escort 2-3 elders.

Fair Foods Thursdays We are happy to support Fair Foods @ 125 Armory Street in Jamaica Plain. Help unload, pack, and distribute 1-2 lbs bags of fresh produce to our elderly friends! Every other Thursday through the end of July. No sign-up required, just show up.

Summer can be a bit sad around the office when our Program Assistants return home to Germany.

New staff
LBFE is excited to welcome two new folks, Amanda Bilski and Varsha Kumar, to our Program Team. Amanda will lead a weekly City Site in the Back Bay and Varsha will be our Events Manager. We are very excited for what they will bring to LBFE!
